Using its 18 years’ experience, Edutouch developed a mobile application to help businesses conduct practical assessments in the workplace, replacing the manual and tedious processes. Assessors’ focus shifted from being involved with paper administration, to conducting quality workplace assessments. More time is released by digitising the manual assessment process. Assessors now can spend more time on following best assessment practice instead of completing paperwork. All judgements are captured with minimal Assessor input to ensure accurate results and at the same time eliminating human error and churn. Apart from streamlining the assessment processes, Assessors can now do more practical assessments per day and be more efficient and productive in what they do best. A digital self-tracking capability ensures all judgements are completed before any submissions are made by the Assessor. Once the finalised digital assessment has been submitted by the Assessor, the processes of compiling the result and delivering it to the applicable officials, are automated.
More than 80% of needs identified in the development of the application was met, and the application can be utilised by all industries. It also can be utilised for onsite moderations and planned task observations, making it a versatile assessment tool.
